Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 6 October 2026 · Questions: [email protected]

This policy describes uses of Sparring that are not permitted. It is part of the Terms of Service. We may suspend access for violations and will notify administrators where we can.

Prohibited uses

  • Employment decisions without human process. Using Practice scores, debriefs or skill states as the sole or determinative basis for hiring, promotion, compensation, discipline or termination. Results may inform development conversations; decisions must involve independent human judgement and the individual's right to respond.
  • Clinical or therapeutic use. Presenting the Service as therapy, counselling, diagnosis or crisis support, or using it to assess mental health.
  • Covert assessment. Requiring people to use Practice without telling them that transcripts are reviewed by the organization's managers (the Service shows this notice; do not remove or contradict it).
  • Harmful content. Creating scenarios that depict sexual content involving minors, incite violence, or target individuals or protected groups with harassment or hate.
  • Unlawful data. Submitting personal data you lack a lawful basis to process, including health or financial data of real customers without anonymisation.
  • Testing systems you don't control. Using Arena against AI agents or endpoints without authorisation from their operator.
  • Circumvention. Attempting to bypass usage metering, rate limits, tenant isolation or authentication; probing the Service's infrastructure without written permission.
  • Model extraction. Systematically harvesting counterpart lines, debriefs or scenario content to train competing systems.
  • Resale. Reselling or white-labelling the Service without a written agreement.

Content standards for Scenario Studio

Private scenarios must be realistic workplace or customer situations; characters must not be identifiable real people unless they are public figures acting in their public role; pressure tactics must stay within the limits of a professional simulation. Drafts that fail these standards may be removed.
